The libertarian movement and the Republican "obstructionism"

I imagine that some of the problems in the U.S. politics come from the libertarian movement and the Republican "obstructionism". Universal health care, which most of the libertarians abhor, is a commonly accepted idea outside the U.S. If Mitt Romney really supports universal health care, he is right.
